The brand’s owners have been in the furniture business for over 70 years in Milan, Italy. M&D adopts Italian production processes and quality control systems to produce the perfect sofa.

The Designory was founded in 2020, from the need of making designs that are aesthetic and practical and simultaneously experimental and functional. Led by architect Astha Taneja, the firm’s core belief is that design is not limited to common norms of practice, rather it is and should be treated as an amalgamation of everything that inspires us on the daily, carefully curated and put together to bring to life something new and personal to the end-user.
The term ‘Designory’ – Design (Fact)ory – speaks volumes about us and our ethos. With six years of designing and delivering projects in both the residential and commercial sector behind us, we have worked with sizes small and large, and projects with varied budgets – and the only thing that drives us is a challenge that forces us to relook at conventional methods and design our own way out; or rather, ‘manufacture’ our own solutions.
